Design and Performance

Build

The Predator Archery Raptor Compound Bow’s limbs are built in the US and feature high-quality fiberglass. The cams and risers are fully machined aluminum, unlike other bow options that often use plastic components.

The Raptor features an easily adjustable draw weight from 30 up to 70 lbs. without needing a bow press. Just tighten or lose the limb bolt on each limb pocket.

The Raptor includes several accessories made from high-quality materials as well. This kit provides you with a whisker biscuit arrow rest, a stabilizer, and five-pin peep sight with light and level for no additional cost.

  • Stabilizer
  • Whisker biscuit
  • TRUGLO Arrow rest
  • Sight
  • Quiver

Some users report that the cable guard slips out occasionally, so make sure you tighten the screws on the cable guard very well.

Overall, the quality of the Raptor’s design and build is comparable to much more expensive brands and models.

Firing and Uses

The Predator Archery Raptor Compound Bow features a 30 to 70 lbs. draw weight, which provides a manageable range for archers of all different strengths.

With maximum speeds of up to 315 fps and a 75% let-off, this bow has a fast, smooth, and accurate fire.

The let-off could be a little higher as most newer bows offer let-offs up to 85%. Nevertheless, this bow only requires you to hold 17.5 pounds to deliver over 70 pounds of weight on the arrow (depending on your setup). It requires considerably little effort and a big payoff.

This bow is very versatile, and you can use it for any activity that requires a bow, such as target practices, bow hunting, or even bow fishing.

Its versatility and easy adjustability make it ideal for novices who aren’t sure how they’ll want to use their new bow.

  3. New to the archery world. I’ve never shot a ow of any type but i totally want to get into this for hunting purposes mainly. I feel like this is a great bow bow package, but I have no idea what a good package would actually be. Price point is perfect… the reviews on this bow are pretty good, but I simply have no idea what kind of reliability this great price package would offer.

Frankly, is this a relatively decent beginner package at this time.

    • It’s a decent package for starters. Especially at this price point! Is there a better bow out there? Yes! It all depends on your budget. I suggest finding the closest archer shop. The people there are usually very helpful. Try shooting a few arrows for a feel.

      • Do we know who is claiming ownership of this bow. Who actually makes the rest of bow? I know the equipment on it is China. I bought one last week and it feels good. Just want to know about the rest.
